Access to the sessions will only be possible with your personal badge, which can be collected at the Registration Desk stations in Palazzo dei Congressi (Convention Centre). Please remember to bring the confirmation of registration in order to obtain your badge, which you are required to wear all the time. The badge will be scanned at each entrance and exit of room A where the scientific programme is taking place.

A breastfeeding room will be available at Palazzo dei Congressi (level – 1). More information can be obtained at the Information Desk.

Registered participants can download their certifcate of attendance after the submission of the evaluation form, available on the virtual platform.

In Lugano, the climate is mild. In April the average temperature during the day is 12-15⁰ C, while in the night is 8-10⁰ C.

The official currency in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc, indicated as CHF. Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere.

Electricity in Switzerland is 230 Volt AC, 50 Hz (continental European standard). European round pin plugs are accepted by Swiss sockets. However, don’t forget to bring an adapter, as the compatibility with other continental European plugs is limited.

The organiser declines responsibility for adverse events, either before, during or after the Conference. Participants are strongly advised to obtain their own personal and travel insurance coverage.

English is the official language of the Conference. Italian is the spoken language in the Ticino region. French and German are also widely spoken in the main tourist sites.

Lugano and its neighbouring areas offer numerous gastronomical proposals, from Michelin starred restaurants to the more rustic so-called “grotto”, from international cuisine to typical and traditional dishes.

Tips are not required in restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels nor for taxis or hairdressers. Service charges are included in the prices, as required by Swiss federal law.

During APCCC, Central European Summer Time (CEST) applies in Switzerland.

The registered participants will have the possibility of watching the video of the scientific programme of the APCCC 2024, on demand for 3 month after the conference from Monday the 29th of April, 2024.

Water stations will be available at the Convention Centre, providing free drinking water to all attendees. Please remember to bring your bottle with you.

The registration fee for participants includes:

• Access to all scientific sessions;
• Conference material;
• Catering during coffee and lunch breaks.
