Opening Call for Abstracts: 1 September 2025

Notification of Selection: from 16 January 2026

Presentation Format
Selected Abstracts will be presented as posters during IPCS 2026. Opening Tuesday 28 April at 13:00 in room B2 1st Floor. Authors are responsible for printing and bringing their poster to Lugano. Set-up and removal times will be communicated closer to the event. Poster template will be sent along with the notification e-mail.

Eight selected Abstracts will be part of the scientific programme with a 10 min oral presentation (see below and- Scientific Programme IPCS ).

Attendance Requirement
Authors of selected abstracts are expected to attend the event in Lugano in person:

• Tuesday, 28 April 2026 – Printed poster set-up before 12:00
• Wednesday, 29 April 2026 – Poster session from 12:30 to 14:00 (during lunch)

For oral presentations (slot will be indicated in the notification e-mail):

• Tuesday, 28 April 2026 – Session from 15:50 to 16:10
• Tuesday, 28 April 2026 – Session from 17:40 to 18:00
• Wednesday, 29 April 2026 – Session from 15:20 to 15:40
• Wednesday, 29 April 2026 – Session from 16:50 to 17:10

We expect that, if the abstract is selected, Authors/Presenters attend the event in Lugano in person or, if unable to attend, ensure that a co-author is present on their behalf.

Complimentary Registration
Free registration for IPCS and APCCC 2026 is offered to the presenting author of each selected abstract.

Abstract Travel Grant
Up to three abstracts submitted from low- or lower-middle-income countries will be selected for a travel grant which covers:

• Travel expenses reimbursed after the event, up to a maximum amount which will be indicated in the notification e-mail.
• Accommodation for a maximum of 2 nights pre-booked by the organization, details will be indicated in the notification e-mail.
• Complimentary registration for IPCS and APCCC 2026

Abstract Categories
Abstracts related to the following categories are accepted:

• Molecular biology and genetics
• Novel treatment approaches (immunotherapy, radioligands, etc.)
• Therapeutic resistance
• Diagnostics and biomarkers
• Theranostics
• Emerging antibody-drug conjugates
• Phase 0/1/2 clinical trials

Late-Breaking Abstracts
Late-breaking abstracts can also be submitted by the standard submission deadline of 12 December 2025, 23:59 CET. The placeholder abstracts should include the background information available at the time of submission. If accepted, the full abstract must be submitted by 15 March 2026, following the instructions indicated in the notification of selection.

Authors/Presenters are allowed to submit multiple abstracts

Publication of the abstracts and E-Posters

Abstracts will not be published in a journal.
E-Posters Gallery will be available to registered participants on the streaming platform.
E-Posters will also be published on www.apccc.org/ipcs after the event.
